We compare the ways to get from Milan to the lake so you can pick the right one the first time: the regional trains and public ferries you can use on your own, and the guided day trips by train or coach that do the planning for you.

Train fares and times are checked against Trenord’s published routes, ferry fares against the 2026 Lake Como tariffs, and tour details against the live Viator listings. Prices move; when a listing and this page disagree, the checkout price wins.
